Fasting is the fourth pillar. One month a year — Ramadan — adult Muslims eat and drink nothing from dawn until sunset.
For most reverts it is the month everything changes. Not because of the hunger, but because it is the month the community is at its most visible and its most welcoming, and the month it becomes easiest to stop practising alone.
It is also demanding, and your first one will be the hardest. This section is written for that first one.

Fasting Outside of Ramadan
Two things that belong to this month but live elsewhere on the site. Tarāwīḥ, the night prayer at the masjid, and Eid al-Fiṭr, the morning it ends. Both are in the prayer section.
